Four planes were grounded as the pilots scheduled to fly them reported sick.

Hundreds of passengers were left stranded for hours at the Mauritian airport yesterday night when a large number of pilots reported sick. Four international flights out of the country were cancelled. Hours later, the passengers were sent to hotels and informed that their flights had been cancelled and will be rescheduled because of technical reasons.

Two of the cancelled flights took off this morning as the CEO of Air Mauritius announced an inquiry and possible disciplinary measures. He also said that the company will not bow to blackmail and has incured huge loses.
