Since it emerged the Harry Potter prequel is being filmed in the UK, people have been clamouring to become a part of movie history. Thousands want to join the magic features as extras in Fantastic Beasts - a spin off of the wizardly series. But all the supporting artists have already been hired after a search which ended months ago.
So it looks like without a casting call, it will only be the already-chosen extras who are set for the upcoming days of wizardry with Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne playing magizoologist Newt Scamander.
Warner Bros started shooting the film at Leavesden studios, Hertfordshire, in August, while crews were spotted prepping for the movie at Liverpool’s Cunard Building and, more recently, moving furniture into St George’s Hall.
The studio announced in September that JK Rowling would be making her screen-writing debut with Fantastic Beasts, the first in a new film series.
Fans are now eagerly awaiting the films - inspired by Harry Potter’s Hogwarts textbook of the same name and featuring the book’s author, Newt Scamander as the lead character. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them will be released in November 2016.
