Brothers rocks the box-office

The action-drama crosses the 50-crore mark in three days

It looks like the Akshay Kumar-Sidharth Malhotra starrer Brothers had the cash registers jingling all weekend. After a landmark opening day collection, the film continued to make waves at the box-office all through the weekend.

This is not only Sidharth Malhotra’s biggest first weekend so far after Ek Villain, but also Akshay Kumar’s biggest opening weekend yet. He previously notched high numbers with Rowdy Rathore, Baby, Gabbar Is Back.

The film may continue to earn big through the week if the footfall remains stable.

The release and success of Brothers meant a serious setback in collections for Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Drishyam, who were reigning at the ticket windows so far.
