Grandmother Makes Google Smile With Her Polite Search
And here’s a really, really sweet grandma who actually uses words like ‘please’ and ‘thank you’ each time she makes a request on Google! The polite grandmother has become an internet sensation with everyone in love with her for her politeness! That she actually uses please and thank you in her search queries was discovered by her grandson when he opened her laptop to do some browsing for himself. He couldn’t believe what he saw and immediately took a picture of it and posted it on Twitter.
The search query Grandma May had posted on Google was, “Please translate these roman numerals mcmxviii thank you.” Ben John, the grandson, was completely amused by her and her minding her manners online. After posting the pic of her search online, Grandma May began to go viral and got tons of likes and shares.
But the best part was, even Google got to know that they have such a polite search engine user and that there’s someone who is so sweet to a machine and an algorithm! Google was polite enough to reply to Grandma and told her that no thanks was necessary for her search! How sweet! Google UK was more elaborate and after wishing her well, the UK site said that Grandma May made them smile from among the billions of searches! Here are the tweets!
